A man died in a cyber cafe in southern China after a three-day gaming binge. The 30-year-old fainted in the cafe located in Guangzhou, but paramedics were unable to revive him. The working theory is that he died from exhaustion brought on by his marathon gaming session.
China is waging an ongoing battle with online gaming addiction, enforcing game time limits and even sending young kids to special boot camps. I can't even imagine playing a game for three days straight. I think my longest single gaming session to date is eight or nine hours spent playing Morrowind. (Ah, the benefits of unemployment.)
