This school year Maryland's Joppatowne High School became the first school to offer courses to students to prepare them for jobs within the Homeland Security industry. As reported by Mother Jones, 75 students will study "cybersecurity and geospatial intelligence, respond to mock terror attacks, and receive limited security clearances at the nearby Army chemical warfare lab. The school also hopes to offer Arabic as a language course.

Now I know this all sounds very dire, but if I were in high school I'd much rather study cybersecurity than Home Ec.
