Ford has produced a vehicle paint that reduces carbon-dioxide emissions by 15 percent and volatile organic compounds by 10 percent. What's more, if it lives up to long-term durability tests, it will save about $7 a vehicle versus traditional paint. Some 200 Ford E-Series trucks painted with the new technology have been delivered to U-Haul facilities around the country.
