For the first time in over five years there's a new version of AOL for Mac OS X and it's even Leopard ready. Today's release is still a beta, but the testing process is open to the public.
Among the highlights of the new version are promises of increased speed (AOL claims it launches faster than Firefox), tabbed browsing, support for using multiple email accounts, improved parental controls and more.

We’ll be honest, we generally like to see the letters “AOL” immediate preceded by “uninstall” when used in a complete sentence, but rumor has it that some people actually use AOL. If you happen to be one of those people, and you happen to use a Mac, this update has your name on it.
