Gadgetized fashion often stumbles, both on the catwalk and on the street. When C.K. offered aerogel togs, they were too warm; when startups offer iPodded-up, wired outerwear, they tend to lack flair. Scottevest's latest apparel does something sensible: instead of trying to look hip, it goes for bigger, more classic designs better suited for concealing all that gear.
The $200 Explorer (pictured) is made of waterproofing-treated suede, includes a shuffle-swallowing 20 pockets, and your dad would love it. The $150 Evolution is a little more cheesy-looking, but has 25 pockets and removable sleeves for the warm days of summer.
Both are gents' designs, but Scottvest reports that it has ladieswear in the offing for the winter season. What, you mean you have to do more than make it in pink?
