We just got a tip that Internet service provider EarthLink is about to be acquired.
The recent history of the company shapes up thusly:
-New CEO Rolla P. Huff (pictured right) installed about a month ago.
- $100 million funding announced for the company’s Helio wireless venture.
-Second quarter revenue of $312.2 million announced three weeks ago, with projected end-of-year revenue stated as $1.2 billion.
