There's a lot of buzz these days about how real estate loans are getting harder and harder to get. Sucks when you want to buy a house but you don't have the money. But look on the bright side—your problems could be much much worse. Your real estate agent could be a racist bitch or a mentally disturbed nutso who breaks into houses and destroys private property. Or your girlfriend could be a stalker who burns down your yard, leaves dead rabbits on her trail to mark her territory, and has nervous breakdowns in pet stores. In Closing Escrow, director Armen Kaprelian (producer of HGTV's House Hunters) weaves the stories of these and other characters in a mockumentary-like comedy about people on the prowl for their dream home. It's shot like reality TV, it's funny almost like a Christopher Guest flick, and it makes you grateful that your residential future is not in the hands of a crazy person.
Closing Escrow comes out in theaters in NY, LA, SF, Phoenix, and Denver this Friday.
