Hoping to reach a whole new generation of fuel-
and emissions-conscioius commuters who don’t trust themselves on motorcycles or scooters, Piaggio has introduced a vehicle with two independent, tilting front wheels. The result is motorcycle-like cornering with more tenacious grip—i.e., fewer spills—and better straight-line braking. Four aluminum-cast control arms make up the tilt mechanism, which lets you lean up to 40 degrees into a turn. The
$6,999 scooter features a 250 c.c. engine that can reach a top speed of 77 mph.
