Kia has been taking auto journalists around for party rides in its concept Excee'd Cabrio soft-top, which is always a good indication that a go-ahead for production is just around the corner. The car is quite obviously not another Korean econobox knock off. If you think its splashy styling cues remind you of the Audi TT, it's because Peter Schreyer, designer of the TT, worked on this project as well. If the car gets the nod for production (and we think it will), look for it to be powered by a 1.6- or an optional 2.0-liter gasoline engine. As such, its performance will be adequate, though not exactly sprightly. There's no word on where it will fall in price.
