Controversial blogger/videographer Josh Wolf has announced his intention to run for Mayor of San Francisco. In a city like ‘Frisco, Wolf’s chances are as good as anyone’s, but one item in his list of platform initiatives stood out.
Wolf said, “__As mayor I will wear a mounted streaming camera while working on all official business __so that the public can take part in a truly open and transparent government. It may be possible that city codes dictate that certain meetings be confidential, in which case I will have a notice posted explaining why I am offline.”
Whoever becomes the city’s next mayor, this lifecasting angle would be great for a city in need of more transparency as well as Silicon Valley companies in the lifecasting business like Justin.tv and Ustream.
