We'll be waiting a while for wireless electricity, but in the meantime, we have the next best thing: The Eubiq Power Track. The Eubiq is a wall mounted strip with one long slot running the length (max 3.6 metres – 12 feet). Anywhere along the length, you slot in a special plug and twist. No more running extension cords or daisy-chaining power strips. Sadly, you need to put a new plug onto all your devices, which means they won't work anywhere else, ever again.
Or you can opt for the adapters, which twist in and accept a regular plug. Only 12 adapters fit per meter, against 18 for the plugs. The 40 amp rated strip is earthed and the actual power parts are kept away from small fingers, recessed in narrow channels. Price unknown, but don't expect it to be cheap.
