was designed to be a kinder, gentler MMO, more accessible to new and casual players. Unlike most other MMOs your class doesn't limit what kind of armor, weapons, and skills you can use, and you don't suffer any penalty when you die, which was, oddly enough, the exact problem some players had with it.

When I was talking to a few of the game's developers last week, they told me that Dungeon Runners' Horrific Dungeon of Legend--the only area in the game where you're penalized for dying--was created based on feedback from actual players. They didn't want it quite so easy, apparently, preferring to work for their ridiculously-named swag.

Similar feedback led to the inclusion of the difficulty scaler, which, as the name implies, makes the game as challenging as you want it to be. During the demonstration, one of the devs hopped into an actual in-progress quest, only to be warned "The setting is on insane, btw." Voice chat was also added by request.

The updates to DR will keep coming, as well, with small updates taking place monthly and "major updates" taking place every other month. The small updates will have things like new skills, items, and quests, while the major changes will add features like PvP (still to come) or the aforementioned difficulty scaling.

I think what they should do next is accept suggestions for new weapons. I mean, they have a giant pizza cutter and several different kinds of guitars, it seems only fair to be open to suggestion regarding new designs. I want an enormous pink feather duster. Or a stuffed rabbit that you swing around by the ears.
