The iPhone is obviously an item limned with Cupertino's magic, but is this the news equivalent of a presidential assassination?

When USA Today calls an Apple ad "the technology industry's version of the Zapruder film," we've left "hype" and entered "mental deficiency." This is so icky only Rik Mayall could do the illustrative facial expression. The piece continues in a similar vein for a good 30 inches before getting to what might have been the lede (see above), were it not a set of bullet points. Leave the incompetent pseudo-reportage to us bloggers, Mr. Hopkins!
