Steve Jobs Reveals iPhone Talk Time, More Product Details

Finally responding to the speculation and fears discussed in the media regarding the possible pitfalls of the iPhone, Apple CEO Steve Jobs said today that the iPhone will have 8 hours talk time and feature a scratch resistant surface. Jobs said:

“With 8 hours of talk time, and 24 hours of audio playback, iPhone's battery life is longer than any other 'Smartphone' and even longer than most MP3 players. We've also upgraded iPhone's entire top surface from plastic to optical-quality glass for superior scratch resistance and clarity.”

Apple also released a battery life comparison chart comparing the iPhone to the Nokia N95, Samsung Blackjack, Blackberry Curve8300 and the Palm Treo 750. Download the PDF here.
