It’s Danica Patrick’s to lose. This will be her third and strongest Indy 500. Since switching teams from Letterman Racing to Andretti
Green Racing, she has been working with some of the finest drivers in the sport, including Tony Kanaan, Dario Franchitti and Marco Andretti. She won’t be the only female, however. Milka Duno (bottom right), the Venezuelan who is currently running in the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series, will make a run with backing from SAMAX, the same team that backs her for Grand Am. And Sarah Fisher (upper right) will be vying for a spot in her sixth attempt at the Memorial Day weekend event. If all three women qualify, it will be a first.
