Earlier this month, we asked you savvy readers to suggest some creative ways to fix the U.S. patent system. A process that was designed to safeguard American ingenuity has, unfortunately, become inefficient and litigious, and Congress is currently considering legislation to overhaul the mess.

What better time to have you weigh in on the issue?

On Tuesday, we submitted your most popular ideas to the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Courts, the Internet, and Intellectual Property, which drafted the original legislation. The committee, which gets the first crack at marking up the bill today, has agreed to take a look at your suggestions and provide feedback.
