Mike Arrington revealed more details about some of the experts chairing the TechCrunch20 conference in September. Following our last post regarding the inclusion of MC Hammer, Arrington writes,

“Following the September 11, 2001 attacks, Hammer released the patriotic album Active Duty on his own WorldHit label and donated portions of the proceeds to 9/11 charities. MC Hammer has a television show on the Trinity Broadcasting Network. Hammer is an advisor to stealth Internet start-up Dance Jam.”

I'll have to remain suspect about a "startup" that has only a poorly rendered disco ball and a "coming soon" message on the site. But at this point, I've been guilted into accepting that maybe, just maybe, in an odd part of Silicon Valley sometime this fall, it will actually be “Hammer Time” and maybe this won’t be such a bad thing (for a brief moment in time).
