PopCap games is offering a free copy of Bejeweled Deluxe to anyone who signs up for their monthly e-newsletter, The Fizz. They're selling this to us as a Mother's Day gift idea, which does not seem wise to me. If you don't have the funds to get your mom something for Mother's Day, that's ok, just clean her house or mow her lawn or simply spend the day with her. She'll be happy, I promise you.
But handing over a registration code you got for giving someone your email address? I'm sure she won't mind, but I'm thinking we can do better, you know? Still, a free game is a free game, and as time-killers go, Bejeweled Deluxe is a darn fine one.
