Wow. This half sized R2D2 replica has as many built in gadgets as his movie counterpart. First off, it has authentic sounds and lights and a remote control (yes, it moves). Edge sensors stop unscheduled tumbles down stairs or collisions with walls.
But open him up and there's a whole multimedia extravaganza in there: 80 inch still or video projector, CD and DVD player, built in speakers, and a hidden compartment with iPod dock. The iPod is fully controllable via the remote and the iPod menu is projected.
More! There's a good range of options for input, from S-Video to VGA, and optical audio out, but more interesting are the range of cards it takes, all of which can be used to stream to the projector: SD, MMC, Memory Stick, Smart Media and a USB port.
The only thing missing is the spring loaded Light Saber launcher. R2 will cost you $4000, but then this isn't a product for the practical minded. It's a product aimed at those with an appreciation for awesomeness.
Full specs and more pictures after the jump, including the Millennium Falcon shaped remote.
