The state of New York has sued PC maker Dell and its financial services operation over allegations of fraud, false advertising and deceptice practices. The case, filed Tuesday by state Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, accuses Dell of making misleading financing claims and reneging on rebates, warranties and service contracts.
The suit seeks unspecified monetary damages and an injunction barring Dell from engaging in the allegedly nasty practices. Dell says the charges are without merit and it'll fight the suit.
