According to a recent survey conducted by British firm 1&1 Internet, surfing the web is such a slow experience in the U.K. that 52% of residents report feeling a "negative emotional reaction." 7% actually report lashing out with physical aggression.

For some reason, those in Northern Ireland get the short end of the stick. Again:

Citizens of Northern Ireland were most affected with 22
per cent of those surveyed claiming that websites either loading slowly
or failing to load makes them want to "throw their computers out of the window".
The figure is over twice the national base but is explained by the fact
that the corresponding number of Northern Irish residents estimate they
waste over 30 minutes per day waiting for slow websites to load.

entire run on Doctor Who over BitTorrent. Oh wait, it's already done...
