Hp EbookHP have a new concept eBook reader on show at the Making Connections conference in Shanghai. They claim it is an innovative and futuristic take on the eBook, but even if this were true it will be a few years before it comes to market, almost guaranteeing it to be out of date.

The best parts? Slider strips on the frame edges to give a more book-like page turning experience than hitting a button; it's A4; and it runs on Linux.

The lame parts? No WiFi (USB only) and bizarrely, no PDF (they're taking a leaf out of Sony's book here and going with a proprietary format). They are however sticking in PhotoSmart compatibility, just in case plain words are too boring for you.
