A Malibu-based psychiatrist, William Rader, claims he has developed a cure for AIDS.
Rader says the cell he has developed, derived from fetal stem cells, stops the HIV virus from attacking the immune system. He says people remain HIV positive, but "it doesn't mean anything" because the virus can't attack the immune system.
Rader won't disclose how he developed the cell -- likely for commercial reasons, as he is the CEO of Medra, Inc -- but says that "as soon as everybody knows about this," he will introduce people to the AIDS patients he has treated. One patient, he claims, started having healthy lab results within one month of the treatment and has maintained them for nearly three-and-a-half years.

Medra, Rader's company operating in the Dominican Republic, offers fetal stem cell injections he claims can treat diseases ranging from
Alzheimer's to cancer to diabetes and epilepsy. He refuses to put those treatments through clinical trials to prove they work, so feel free to be skeptical.
But, hey, maybe this will actually work out? I wouldn't mind being wrong.
