AACS Update Cracked Before it Ships

New HD DVDs and Blu-ray discs due to be released on May 22nd will be carrying an updated version of the AACS (Advanced Access Content System) which was so prominently smashed two weeks ago. The update was foreshadowed by forced updates to HD playing software Win DVD and PowerDVD earlier in April. According to Engadget, it has already been cracked by the good folks of Slysoft (makers of the Any DVD range of cracking software), meaning that even before release, the upcoming Matrix Trilogy can be copied.
