"Police are responding to reports of a person with a weapon inside a building on NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston," according to ABC News.
"NASA's James Hartfield says an initial report was made about a man with a handgun at Building 44, an antenna and communications building, at 2:40 p.m. Eastern Standard Time."
The AP adds, "Johnson Space Center security officers and Houston police, including a SWAT team, [have been] dispatched to the scene."
KHOU-TV is streaming video from its news chopper, above the scene.
UPDATE: "A hostage situation at... Johnson Space Center ended Friday with the gunman and a hostage dead," CNN says.
