No, the denizens of Pirate Byran aren't in the news again. These are real-life pirate attacks – boats, seized cargo, the whole bit – as documented by the International Chamber of Commerce's Commercial Crime Services. They provide a Google Maps mashup showing all documented pirate attacks for each of the last three years. Red denotes a successful attack. Yellow marks an attempt.
