Ever dreamed about getting a degree in video games? Yeah, us too. Well Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute has recently announced that they are offering just that. Their new undergraduate degree is called "Games and Simulation Arts & Sciences," built because of the success of their games studies minor.
Sound amazing? Wait until you hear about the "Games Research Suite." The lab is set up with sofas, a variety of video game consoles, and a plasma tv. There is a virtual reality and motion capture studio as well as an area set up to 'study' social gaming.
In honor of the new program, Rensselaer is holding their third annual GameFest conference this Friday and Saturday.
I guess it is never too late to go back to school.
