Daytrotter doing it big at SXSW

The people behind Daytrotter, the very cool mp3 blog/Peel Sessions hybrid (covered here in the February issue of Wired), have packed a rental van with vintage studio gear and made their way to Austin for SXSW, with plans to record sessions with bands like Voxtrot, Tacks, the Boy Disaster, theMountain Goats, Bishop Allen, Ladybug Transistor,
the Presidents of the United States of America, and a bunch more. Like all Daytrotter Sessions, these recordings will be released for free as high quality downloads.

Daytrotter is also sponsoring a party at Emo's on Friday night in collaboration with indie record label Asthmatic Kitty. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in town. Details are here.
