cute critter in, say, lead, Kevlar or optical fibers? New York's Museum of Arts & Design (MAD) has an exhibit that utterly blows away the whole DIY craft craze. Radical Lace & Subversive Knitting features 27 artists from seven countries, including heavy-metal knitter Dave Cole, industrial designer Niels van Eijk and microknitter (scale 1:144 scale) Althea Merback. Show runs until June 17, 2007.
