Usually it's creative movies that inspire car designers, not the other way around. The next episode of Masamune Shirow's Ghost in the Shell anime series, Stand Alone Complex - Solid State Society (released last year in Japan but not due to hit the U.S. until July '07) features actual Nissan concept cars: The Sport Concept, which debuted at the 2005 New York International Auto Show, and Infiniti Kuraza, shown at the 2005 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

Nissan's really making the rounds with their geeky product placement. First their was Hiro's embarrassingly obsessive mentions of how reliable his Nissan Versa was on the NBC series Heroes and now this. What's next? Justin Timberlake songs that mentions Nissan more than they mention Maybelline?
