Flagship Studios, the folks working on Hellgate: London, have announced some details about their casual MMO Mythos, which is now in public alpha. I'm not sure that an MMORPG will ever really be "casual," but the fact that Mythos is free to download will certainly make it more attractive to the non-hardcore crowd. Mythos uses the same guts as the multiplayer in Hellgate, so even if you're not interested in slaying orcs and trolls, you could try it out just as as sort of Hellgate preview.
Flagship was formed by some of the people behind the game that launched a thousand clones, Diablo, and they promise the same sort of point, click, collect loot gameplay for *Mythos. *Hey, you say "loot," I'm gonna show up. Yeah, I'm easy like that.
