Apartment Therapy has just announced its 3rd annual Smallest Coolest Apartment Contest. Deadline to get photos of your pad, a floorplan, and a 100-word sell on why you've got the best looking mini apartment is April 6th (dang, that's soon!).
If you live in NY, LA, SF, or Chicago you can apply. The best 40 submissions from each region will be posted two per day from April 9th through May 4th. Readers will be able to vote on each entry for three days from the time the post goes live.
Sixteen semi-finalists (four in each region) will be asked to resubmit their entry with additional photos and additional text by May 10th. Readers will then have the opportunity to review and comment.
Judges will determine a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place, which will be announced at the Smallest Coolest Contest parties on May 17th.
First prize gets a $2500 Design Within Reach store creditSecond prize gets a $1500 DWR store credit
Third gets a $1250 DWR store credit
and Fourthy gets a $1000 DWR store credit
My question here is, if your house is cool enough to win a contest why do you need a gift certificate to a home décor shop? The worst looking pads should get the money so they can make their mini cribs look better.
