Square Enix's chief strategist Ichiro Otobe took the Serious Games Summit stage today to deliver the keynote address, and ended up announcing a brand new Nintendo DS game. Whoops. Guess I should have actually gone to this, although I don't know what they were thinking doing it at 9 AM on a Monday.
The game, entitled Project GB, will teach players about all of the steps involved in making a video game, from design to music and everything in between:
Since this is Square Enix, I'd make some jokes about how the last part of the game is a bonus stage in which you turn a perfectly serviceable RPG franchise into a shitty action game, except this is too awesome to joke about.
