Involving the community in the creation of a new MMO property was a risky enough prospect for Acclaim, but making it a racing title, to boot? Hoo boy, I worry. The game in question, oh-so-coyly referred to as Top Secret, will apparently be some sort of racing game, though the ultimate shape will be formed in large part by the 23,000 volunteers who've signed up to help out with the project, and who are currently wracking their brains for the Next Great Idea. Said executive producer David Perry:

For our first project we'll make a racing game, simply because as a genre it really needs fresh new ideas. We're betting that with 23,000-plus developers we'll be so buried in new ideas, it's going to be tough to choose between them all - a nice problem to have.
