President of the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences, Joseph Olin, is kicking off DICE with some odds and ends about this year's conference. Mostly it's about how we have to make sure we get our wristbands for the AIAS awards tonight; if we don't have them, we can't get into the Hard Rock Cafe and won't know if Elite Beat Agents wins Best Handheld Game.

Oh, now he's talking about the Into the Pixel artwork exhibit, of original art from video game designs. We can bid on the artwork that's displayed; last year I was going to bid on a giant, beautiful painting of Kirby, but was outbid severely by Reginald Fils-Aime. Can't he just have his people make him one? Why crush my dream, Reggie? Why?
