Spokesfolk for Dell, which has had trouble hitting its sales targets recently, will only say that the company is open to retail "experimentation," but there are plenty willing to extrapolate from that into scenarios of Dell nooks in existing stores or dedicated Dell outlets.

"They have to either open their own stores or start working with the CompUSAs and the Circuit City's of the world," said Shaw Wu, an analyst at American Technology Research. Dell "needs to adapt to consumers' tastes."
