Announcing Last Week's eBay Contest Winner

The ToM Weekly Contest kicked off with the question: What would YOU sell on eBay? We got about a dozen responses, all of which made think one thing:

You guys are all crazy. I can't believe some of you are willing to sell years off your life, and others think you can actually sell the warts on your feet. (You probably can. eBay's a crazy place.) But by far the most sacrificial response was by Telanis, who wrote:

I'd sell the right to watch me castrate myself, via live webcam, for the low price of $5,000 or best offer.

You're a brave soul, Telanis. But I have a few questions. Does that mean $5000 is the Buy It Now price? Does the buyer get to keep the goods? What method of castration do you plan on using, or does the buyer get to pick? I should have made the contest rules so that the winner has to sell whatever he/she said he would sell. Next time.

I also really like the idea of buying Gareth in a box. He gave us areally well-thought out answer, up to the size of the box and mealrequirements. Plus, $50 is nothing for a piece of art.

For a small fee ($50.00) I will show up at your house and live in a boxfor the day (24hrs consecutive). The box is shatter proof glass, is 6ftin length width and hieght and contains air holes.

Possibilities are endless: Impress your neighbors by claiming it ishigh art, make me a lawn ornament, great conversation starter atparties, use as complex political statement on the tyranny and oppressionof cubical work and many more...

I bring my own lunch but for more than 1 day you must supply my meals.
