An exhibitor at the Adult Entertainment Expo expressed to me his frustration that the event's standards for booth display were so strict, declaring that "Las Vegas is so uptight about (breasts)" while pointing out his new product line.

At registration, each exhibitor gets a huge packet of rules about what they can and can't show at the event; rumor has it this includes the exact dimensions that each g-string and pastie has to be.

The Live Rules of Conduct NSFW on the event's website includes "No exposure of genitalia or breasts" and "No sexual contact or behavior, including, but not limited to penetration of any kind, simulated sex of any kind, fondling of breasts." For video and other displays, the rules prohibit showing penetration, bodily fluids and (or course) anything illegal.

Walking the show floor, it's obvious that some of the stars adhere to the dress code literally, with double-sided tape. Some leave something to the imagination; others could breeze right through airport security.

For a layperson like me, the event does not appear to be "uptight" about breasts. But I know it doesn't take long for your perspective to change when it comes to what is obscene, what is titillating, what is sexy and what is overwhelming. After three days I realized with some astonishment that I couldn't recall actually seeing any porn except for the sponsors' posters and video loop in the press room. That's what happens when you're seeking out tech, I suppose.
