They'll stuff computers in everything, and the multiplying cohort (it's not a horde yet) of bizarre small form-factor PCs reaches an electrifying apotheosis in the JackPC, an Israel-made computer designed to be embedded in drywall.
Makers ChipPC haven't cooked this up for home use, as it's a terminal system with no hard drive, designed to connect to a server before doing much of anytthing. That is to say, the JackPC is basically a monitor port and usb hub to which you attach a screen and input devices, and voila instant computer. It simply takes the thin-client computing model and embeds it in the wall.
So, it's actually quite boring, and, at $400 and up, an expensive kind of boring. But it's also a cool kind of boring. Specs after the fold.
