Surviving 10 drops from 3 feet before giving up the ghost (the mfr. claimed 26), and then surviving 6 somewhat harsher drops on a second run-through after the makers revised their claims, the D14RI is one hardcore piece of technology. Reviewer Tim Roper remained impressed:

Neither system was able to stand up to Twinhead’s original drop test guidelines ... [But] What we have to keep in mind is that if we did these same tests with any of our previous mobile solutions, we can hardly begin to imagine the destruction that would take place. Our two units survived several very nasty falls and didn’t even flinch when we poured water over them.

This is clearly the laptop to own if you're a hamfisted, coffee-spilling wankhands and don't want to spend thousands on a hardened Panasonic.
