When I received the latest issue in the mail ("The New Atheism"), I first thought I had received an issue of Time or Newsweek by mistake. I at least expected to read convincing evidence that religion is incompatible with science, but instead I only read about the Flying Spaghetti Monster, which, as far as I know, is not a universally held concept. No, I only read comparisons of religion to slavery and rape.

I agree that religious evangelicals can be irritating, but their prime motivation (supposedly) is fueled by compassion to save people from eternal peril. An atheistic evangelical's prime motivation, apparently, is fueled by their dislike for religious people. Which has a more noble cause? Which one seems more motivated? In the end, the author of the article decides not to become an atheistic zealot. Pathetic! He just proves my point.

I'd prefer Wired magazine to focus more on technology, not reading an intolerant bigot's viewpoint on religion. Don't alienate your readership. Heck, you could have devoted those pages to a giant Japanese Schoolgirl Watch article instead, and that's a shame.
