Stem cell research will be a big issue in November for voters in Missouri. Even if you're not in the show-me state, you can watch a live online debate between pundits for and against stem cell research.

On the con side is Jaci Winship, executive director of Missourians Against Human Cloning. Their site has a "Facts" page, which regurgitates many of the same tired arguments against embryonic stem cell research and cloning.

But, not having read the Missiouri amendment, I might have to agree with "fact" number 6:

  1. The wording on the amendment is misleading:
    The amendment calls for a "ban [on] human cloning or attempted cloning." However, medical science clearly states embryos created by somatic cell nuclear transfer are human clones.

Confusing, indeed. Now for some thrilling reading.
