In a recent blog post, Seska said she'll write up a whole article on the etiquette of joining a webcam performance chat room, but until then, her post announcing her intention has some great tips in it already.
She explains how ignoring the etiquette can ruin the session for everyone, including the performers, and why it's so important that the performer have a good time.
While group interaction progresses faster online – hell, everything happens faster online – I wish people remembered that everyone else in a chat room is a person too, and you don't just barge in like the other handles are bots or furniture. (I'm generally polite to bots and furniture, too, but that's just me.)
And when people are inviting you into their intimate moments, you don't demand that they change positions, use a different toy, or change the camera angle. If that's what you want, go to one of the cam girls for a one-on-one where that is the agreed upon style of interaction and leave the group communities alone.
(Gee, Regina, how do you really feel?)
