Audi's new R8 is luxurious eye candy that also introduces interesting design elements. The vehicle, which looks similar to the car designed for the movie I, Robot, features a mid-mounted engine and frame composed of a unique material blend.
The engine, which can be seen from the rear window, is located between
the axles adn behind the passenger seats. The frame is built from aluminum and magnesium and will definitely turn heads on the street.
Audi says the ride is much smoother because of a new magnetic adaptive damper system that replaces conventional oil with an undisclosed fluid with viscosity that can be controlled by an electromagnetic field.
The R8 could become the '07 car to have (if you have $130,000 to spend).
