MySpace not yourspace anymore?

The BBC reports on new developments at MySpace intended to protect the children from sexual predators.

I had a whole rant here but I deleted it. I find I have nothing more to add than what Allen Weiner said at the end of the article. It's all about balance and perspective, something I feel we lose too easily amidst the information overload.

Allen Weiner, an internet analyst for Gartner, said the site suffers because of its popularity.

"People are going to find nefarious things to do with anything that draws such a huge audience.

"I think MySpace is actually doing a pretty decent job in terms of security," he added.
