Maybe I'll be fast as you, maybe I'll break hearts too

Speaking of sex columnists ... Brian Alexander's Sexploration column reports on the science of love this week. And one of his sources confirms something I've always suspected (and experienced):

“Men fall in love faster than women,” explains Rutgers University anthropologist Helen Fisher, author of "Why We Love: The Nature and Chemistry of Romantic Love."

“They are so visual," she says. "That’s why the whole porn industry is built around them.”

Now I need to call Ms. Fisher and learn more about that and how she thinks it plays out in virtual spaces. I have my own theories but she has research grants – perhaps together we'll come up with The Truth.
